I've got the oil question out there and thought I would ask about the Aces IV fuel additive. Who uses it? I've heard good things about it. I'm more worried about getting crappy fuel and am told this solves many issues from octane deficiency to water in fuel.

Get it it does allot of really good things for the engine, Lubricates, helps octain, stabilizer, injector cleaner, tested up to 5 years without octain loss ect ect.... Wont hurt just helps. Put it this way. Tony at Brucato uses it and Todd among a lot of other very knowledgeable engine guys. Jay likes it also. Todd sells it from Hydromotive give him a call about it. It would take two pages + to explain {some} of the good it does but 5min over the phone.:big grin

BTW Ill bet your ichen to get out with your new 280 from last summer again!!
Brad from Manitobas going 280 also I guess youve heard by talking to him.
Ill have to join the club some time. Hope everything good back east. We have winter in a big way! 4-5ft of snow in the yard and 4ft of ice on the lakes still! Looks like later this week things might start warming up though. Went skiing with the kids today. no school teachers strike. :big grin

Thats what I did, called Todd, talked with him about the benefits, and bought some on the spot. I think I paid $264 for a gallon with shipping. One gallon treats like 768 gallons of gas.

I wanted it for the slight octane boost, because I can only get 91 here, and for the ethanol stabilization properties. I was always worried about ethanol separation and this product gives me peace of mind that I am covered.

I lost one seating place in the front, and about 1/2 of one in the back.

I gained 8 mph (so far), a better holeshot, more legroom in the back seat for my wife and son (first thing I ordered was a bench seat for the back), and a little better fuel economy.

I am not a bass fisherman, so I can't speak to the advantages/disadvantages of its fishability.

Not tryin to be a smartazz .. But at one ounce per gal it would treat 128 gallons . Do you mix less per gallon and if so .. Why ? I'm asking because I have thought about this stuff in the past .. I just don't know anything about it . If my math is right at 1 ounce per gallon , I'm adding about $ .50 per gallon to my fuel . Can u clarify this for me ?

It's one ounce per 6 gallons...not one ounce per gallon.

Been using it since we got the GSE in 2009.

1oz per 6 gal has lasted, got about 10oz left.

Plugs clean as a toot, 1829mi, PM running/idling great!!

IMHO... well worth it, just for the peace of mind!!

With this crappy gas available I believe in the ACES , give Todd a call..If I owned a boat it would be in the tank ...

Also IMO stay away from the garage mix "witches brew" to up octane unless you wanna spend some money with me..

Gohr seemed to like it down in Jasper when we were stuck at the deliverance bait, tackle, fireworks, ammo, low res porn, and fuel stop on the river. We threw a couple ounces of "the magic", and he was a runnin and a gunnin back up the river. Funnest boating I did in a long time. I have used Aces for 4 years, and no probs.

Roy, what is the most compression you've ran with pump premium and Aces? Just wondering.
