Has any one ever installed a flasher in the dash? I was thinking of removing the mph guage,since they dont work very well anyway and installing a lowrance or vexilar flasher,or even an humminbird super sixty,running the transducer in the tray behind the back seat. Than i can use a Lowrance x135...

I took off the plastic cover on the wall of the back seat to get to the tray to install a transducer. There appears to be a aerator pump attached to wall blocking the view of the tray. What is this pump ? I know there is a aerator in the bilge,why would there be 2 pumps? I really can't see...

on a xb2002, i as thinking, since i will have a Merc 280 i should be able to run a 24 volt 60-80 lb thrust motor and run only 2 batteries total and share 1 battery for the starter, possibly 2 -24 series deep cycles. I think the 27 series will be to heavy, your thoughts please. Thanks

I know allison puts them in the hull behind the allison cover behind the back seat, but do they really work there. Can you run the boat on plane and still get a reading. They don't last very long on the transome, so where is the best place to mount one? How about in bilge area next to the bilge...
