I took off the plastic cover on the wall of the back seat to get to the tray to install a transducer. There appears to be a aerator pump attached to wall blocking the view of the tray. What is this pump ? I know there is a aerator in the bilge, why would there be 2 pumps? I really can't see getting a transducer in the tray even removing this pump. Your thoughts please.

That pump is the recirculate pump. The pump in the bilge is the fill pump. I gave up on trying to get my big arse arm in that tiny hole and fabbed up a bracket on the jackplate to hold the 'ducer. Sure, I cant read depth when on plane, but it was sure alot easier to install!

Same here, when I bought my 02, I took the speedo pickup off and used the holes to mount the transducer just above the bottom of the boat. Works well...

Who needs a speedo pickup when we have GPS... They just create drag.... HaHa...
