Looking for a ski prop for my Grandsport. Would like to find a 22" Hydromotive Q IV or a 22" 4 blade Trophy. Can be either flo-torque or fat shaft Merc.
Thanks!

Our 24 T+ is a real torquer, but I have to watch the r's when running light and keep it buried just to be safe.

Love our 26 & 28 QIV OT's...call Todd at Hydromotive to get the straight scoop.

Depends on what kind of skiing you're gonna do. If you're gonna be pulling stout guys up on slalom, I haven't figured that out yet. My 23 trophy comes out ridiculously hard with just me in the boat, but pulling a guy on slalom, I had trouble getting him up. Had plenty of rpm, but the prop just didn't seem to biting hard (same experience with other trophies). Plug up the holes some and then it still doesn't seem to come out well. Just food for thought.

BTW, 2:1 gears are in my future when I find 'em for a sporty.

how stout are the guys you are trying to pull up? I bounce between 210 and 220 and have can deepwater start slalom with a 24 quad iv and a 24 trophy. The 24 trophy pulled awesome till it cracked.

I currently run a 26" Quad IV with 1.75 gears. Great all around prop but will not pull me (200lbs) out of the water on a slalom ski. Figured dropping 4" of pitch would do the trick for skiing.

In all honestly. Check a bassboat forum where smaller props are common, something will turn up.

a 22 maybe a 23 TXP OT4 (they are very stiff in my opinion)
a 23 Hydromotive OT4
a 24 trophy would all do well

Keep in mine that he's running 1.75 which means he would have to drop about 2 pitch sizes to equal our 1.87s. So the 22p should be about right, and still run 80 mph.
