Total Weight of Grandsport on Trailer

Hey Guys. I have a Grandsport with a Yamaha Prov sitting on an Allison trailer. Any idea what the total weight of this package would be. Doing some car shopping and would be good to know the total weight.

Single axle trailer and all the regular gear in the boat. Nothing abnormal like big stereo systems etc

My trailer is a single axle, and the title lists the weight as 900 lbs. Add another 400 for motor, 1000 for hull, a hundred or two for gear and you are right there at 2500 lbs.

Mark...Mine is pretty much the same set up as yours except I'm running a Promax. I towed it from Florida with a 3L Equinox without any trouble. I definately wouldn't want anything smaller.

The Equinox is rated for 3500 lbs. if it has the 3L. GM recommends trailer brakes if the trailer weight is over 1000 lbs.

Generally, when you see a +1 in a post, it means you agree, ie: I agreed with procomp that 2500#s was a good number, and then threw in some values for good measure.

Mine was 2300 with a single axle, and a 2.5 fishing motor ready to boat ride.

my ss with a 20" motor weighed 2060 with a spare tire, battery ready to run. single axle trailer. heavy fiberglass eng cowl.
