For those that might not have heard yet, Kurt was hurt in his tunnel boat today at the FastBass rally in LA. News is still sketchy, he was airlifted but reports from hospital have him talking and joking but obviously in alot of pain & soreness.

Correct, no broken bones, and preliminary cat scan evaluations (by the MD) are OK but waiting on a final read by the radiologist.

The Lord was in his corner today.

He has family in route and friends with him overnight.

Latest news: Kurt has a small fracture in his back but supposed to be mimimal and self heal. Lots of tests conducted and looks like a full recovery is prescribed.

Lots of pain but alive. The man is very lucky.

Roughly, how fast was he going when it went over? I was afraid of this happening ever since I watched the Jasper video. A Mirage is a dangerous boat at high speeds, always has been. Hope he makes a full recovery

From Kurt's brother's Facebook page:

The latest from the Neurologist is that he has extremely serious neck, spinal cord and back injuries. He'll be in a neck brace for the next 12 weeks as he is in danger of paralization without neck support. Bleeding around the brain continues to heal, his rotator cuff that may require surgery--later. His Kidney's are clearly under stress due to the medication and general trauma, so no word yet on a course of action there, but it appears that this is the biggest area of concern now, since all else is stable. Again, thanks to everyone for the thoughts and comments--he is apparently holding onto his sense of humor, and gaining mobility. More to come later.
