I hear but it's a long story. One of the reasons I striped mine where I did was to protect the stripe from getting damaged and the other is I like being different.

I took my stripes off after they were on for about 8 years. I left it that way for over a year but last year I put a single, fairly wide black stripe back on it and I think it looks much better with the stripe.
