Let me know Bill. I am not queer for the absolute lightest set. Don't use that word around Cleinmark and Jason...

Oh no you can speak openly around them they're good with themselves, they've come "out of the closet", even though Jeff hides in the closet sometimes............

anyone have a link that goes a little newer? I need some grommets for my Alien cowl skirt, thanks
They're on there...pick 3rd motor on the list from the top (2.5 EFI, EFI-Offshore) which is the 280, then click on "Bottom Cowl", and the well nuts/grommets are #40...Merc part #11-849000

Why do you want some microfiche cards?

As far as the rods go I believe there are two, what we would call the light rod being the 260/280 rod and I think all 5250 rods have been sst to the CNC'd rod.

Dave if you need rods I'm having seeveral sets done now.
What is the Merc number for the sps rod bolt for a 5250 rod? They must be longer than the "screw" for the 141 rod.

5250 rods take SPS rod bolts Merc part # 10-91995

I beleive they are about 1/4" longer than the rod bolts for the 141 rods.

Thanks h20. I had tried to search on that site but it kept kicking out that the number was not valid. You just saved me $70.

Dave, I should have told you (and everyone else) that on boats.net, you drop the prefix on Merc's part number. In this case you would search for part # 91995, instead of part # 10-91995 in the search bar at the top.

That's a very generous offer, Bill.

At boat.net? Was wondering if the complete powerhead from Mercury comes fully dressed out? Was guessing the $9500 280 was long block assembly??
