Just thought I would add what the Sea Star tech told me"Do not use any type "power" system to bleed the steering. It will not get the fluid "past" the valves which needs to be done to get all the play out of the system. Only bleed system the way directions tell you to. His words

Oh NO!! Then I guess that means the close to 1000 or so systems I have bled over the past 8-10 years with Sea Star's Power Purger are doomed to fail.

All of the boat manufacturers use the Power Purge as well.

That tech from Sea Star must have just been hired from Evinrude.
