The rear/passenger seats on the 2+2 is the driver/passenger seat on the 2 seater. The rear deck and space is the same, the consoles were moved rearward (redesigned as the boat is wider there so the consoles are larger on the 2 seater) so the front deck is longer on the 2 seater. That weight/center of gravity change is why Darris moved the troller batteries from the rear port storage on the 2+2 to the center storage box under the front deck of the 2 seater. This center of gravity change is also why the 2 seater is the slowest of the 21s. In the "little red book" Darris made the comparison of his boats front/rear seating positions to that of a cargo plane. If you loaded all of the cargo in the nose or likewise loaded all of it in the tail, the plane would never leave the ground. Not until the load was distributed centrally would you attain proper load carrying ability, his boats are much the same way.
