I been looking for a ski prop for my 03 with 225 pm. I've got a line on a Trophy Plus, 25 pitch. Is a 23 pitch better, or would there likely be little difference between the two? I'm already using a 28 pitch 4 blade prop of unkown origin - it gets my kids out on one ski, but barely. Thanks guys.

what style is the 28P,
Through hub?
Over Through?
Over? Have a picture?
I am looking for a ski prop at this time also.

Your kids must be a lot smaller than me about 205-210 because I cant imagine a 25 trophy being good on deepwater starts.

I would think that the 25 would work, but I would go with a 23 personally. Most of the time when someone is skiing you have more people in the boat which adds weight. I had a 25 trophy on a Bullet that I used to pull my wife skiing. It worked fine with just me but if you got a couple of others in the boat to watch, it was lacking. I went to a 21 pitch on a stratos I had and it was great to pull skiers or tubes. The only draw back was there was no top end for even cruising, pulling was all it was good for.

A 23 Trophy is a MUCH,MUCH, better ski prop than a 25 Trophy.

Not much in the props that act like a 23P Range used I have been looking for the past couple weeks for in this order:

23 quad iv x-0t
22 TXP ot4
23 TRO4
23 Tempest
23 Trophy

Almost bought a laser ii but I am tired of buying and trying and selling, I want it to cruise in the run and ski well, can live without the topend just cruise well

Got my hands on a 23 trophy plus. Haven't had a skiier out of the hole yet, but the hole-shot with 4 on board was remarkably better than the 29 pitch props I have, as expected!

We are getting up on slalom just barely with our 27" trophy, and one person in the bow of our 2002 /200 pro max. 150# and 185 # are our weights. With the ski pylon, it makes for a FINE ski boat once one is up!

As an update from the cottage - the 23 trophy plus pulls me up on one ski better than any other boat I've skiied behind, including a Mastercraft this past spring! That's with me at 220lbs. A word of caution if you're installing a swivl-eze pilon - you MUST use the middle pole fastener at the base, or something equivalent. Found that out the hard way.

Update: now that the motor is adjusted my 26 hydromotive quad iv is an acceptable prop for getting up slalom skiers, me about 205/210 and my buddy 195. No more worrying about someone gettting up front to break the boat over.

24 Trophy was cracked after one trip,,,,,,,,so I bought back my 24TXP it should work well until I can get another hydromotive..I think I want to get another 24 or 25 with round ears and then a 27 cleaver style and keep my 26 as it is a great all porpouse prop that now runs 75+ loaded, havent got to let it spin light with just me yet, but I gained 5-6 loaded, if I gain 5-6 light that will put me at 80:cool
