See I think it will be like the 20fters. Darris will have a warning about power saying no motors over 550lbs for instance would seem about right. That way the hull is good for 300,s of all types but not 400R. but who knows? Heck may as well go 2x S3000 that pair is the same weight as a 400r but 200+ more HP and 10000+ rpm. haha
A V-6 fourstroke with Honda's F1 pneumatic valves and a turbo [like my I-4, 200 HP+ 1200 CC Honda Jet Skis] should easily turn out 600 HP @8K RPM and weigh >400 pounds. The problem is, how big is the market;? that is why Mercury got out of high performance.

Been seeing more and more 1300 hayabusa engines in jet skis and they rip!! The engine weight is 175 lbs. You could strap 2 together and have one heck of sick and reliable package at 372 hp!! theres a company making them into a V8. They are as compact as a 2.5. There also getting over 400hp out the Rotex 3 cylinder 1500cc engines. If some has some ingenuity they could build an awesome out board from these motors!!

This has been the longest time between models. I am getting older by the minute and will be 50 next year. I know perfection takes time so I will be patient I am just looking forward to a new model on actually 3 different platforms from what I hear.

I was at the plant last week and the bay door upstairs was open. The hull is upside down and looked to have some supports on the hull. Maybe getting ready for a mold?
