I really like my old XR4. It's fast enough, and with the exception of the gearcase, reliable.
I have read about two types of modifications to this gearcase:
1. Heavy duty bearing carrier with reverse thrust bearing
2. Steckbaurer, which would cost about the same as a used Pro Max 225
Is it worth doing option (1)? Who would be good to send it to?
