How far up or down relative to the pad is your prop? I am trying to get rid of as much steering torque as I can without resorting to a lower unit mod. I think my setback is normal; cmc hydraulic jackplate without spacers. I haven't measured my prop shaft height yet but would like some of your input. I have hydraulic steering but at speed I can tell there is a lot of torque going on. Thanks.

When I top out my jackplate, my propshaft is 1/4" below the pad. I need to move up at least 1 bolt hole. But I have ran with the jackplate all the way up like that and it had plenty of bite.

I feel that you shoould be somewhere from 1/4 inch below to 3/4 above depending on prop and boat, all of them are a little different with each combination.
