I can tell you that, I personally witnessed, Neil Wong drive his XB03 over 100 mph with a full windshield, new ulterra trolling motor, and a bunch of gear. Granted he has a 300xs on the tail, and he has had his boat for 14 to 16 years, and is a great driver. Just saying it is possible.....not for me at this point.

Way back there was a 2003 with a full enclosed canopy. I think it had been in a fire and a shop in Fla rebuilt it. As I recall Yellow Allison was involved in the project. Never heard any speeds but it was a wicked looking set up and should have been very fast. Believe it ended up in Ilinois with the old Scary Fast out fit. SLOmofo and Lanham have been around about as long as I have, they may remember more about it.

Brund, I do think that the shorter windshield helps in overall appearance. Also, if you have a tendency to hold onto the windshield when getting onto the front deck, it would make it less likely to break or crack the windshield.
