Are you talking about the new 200xs ROS motors that are currently made?
If so, I thought they only had a 1.75 ratio on them.

Besides the fact that they cost a whole lot of coin and Mercury offers ZERO warranty on them, I think they are the hottest ticket available for our XB2002's and would run stronger than any other 200 out there. I don't know much about them...think 95 would be possible (set-up for big #'s)???

Coldwater...

hmmm, that wouldn't be the ol boy on S&F that had it on his tournament ski-boat? According to him it (200xs ROS) was the 2nd coming! LOL

I think if Mercury offered a warranty...Darris would have a warehouse FULL of them and would put the R&D to re-work the 20' line-up.

APBA Opti-max Pro-Stock Bass 200 record (year 2002) 102.099 mph...

http://www.allisonboats.com/content/bass-boats/apba-record/

From interpolation of the data (MPH = -0.0034*HP^2 + 1.376*HP - 38.7 (R^2=1), it suggests that to make 95 mph in APBA-sanctioned events in that year should have required 162 HP, all other things being equal....

So even with a "less-than-perfect" setup you ought to be able to get at least 95 with the 200XS ROS! Especially with the Gen II powerhead and improvements over the years.... meaning those engines are rumored to be cranking 220 at the prop...

200xs/ xb02 is a real fun combo... Until you run one with a 260. I really liked mine, it was bulletproof, and ran nice. Barefoot Bob ruined it for me when he let me drive his 02 with a 260, otherwise I never would have known any better. Low/mid 90's are attainable.

Listed weight for a 20" offshore 280 is 400 lbs.

Listed weight for a 20" sport (bass mid) or 15" is 375 lbs.
