What rings ????

I'm rebuilding my steel sleeve pro max --- 1997.

What rings should I use --- chrome or titanium ????

Chrome is the standard... Are you gonna re-use the pistons, or go with new stuff...

Chrome ring on steel bores and use dino oil....

I'm doing one NOW and all the bores were 3. 501" - 3.5015" honed it and as soon as the pistons get back from Marles ( top pinned ) it goes back together. Be sure and check the end gaps also on the new rings,gap needs to be .016" or larger, if tighter you'll need to cut em, I use a wet rock.. ( knife sharpener ) also be sure and if you have to cut them radius the sharp ends they will scratch the bore..
