Okay, So we arrived at the Konotchi casino and camping cement pad and it was terrible. There were about 5 trees and patches of grass. The drive up to it should have warned us, there were houses that looked like garbage dumbs surrounding the place and you couldn't even see your boat from the camp ground. It was on the other side of the casino. :very sad
We did find a campground in Soda Bay. It is called the Edgewater Resort-, www.edgewaterresort.net/ this place is so much better. It has full hook ups, cabins, net/wi-fi and cable internet, a pool, laundromat, showers, and a boat launch with dock that is included in your camping price. It also has a Ground BBQ Area and a Club house is we want to use.
We talked them down in price at 20% off per site, 1/2 if you have a pet and 1/2 off for your boat.
7 nights is $245.00 with 20% discount =$196.00
1/2 off for one pet=$17.50 and 1/2 boat=$35.00 with tax was $266.14.
If you call her and mention you are here for the WAR you get this rate.
They have plenty of sites available and 2 cabins that sleep 4 and price before dicount is $140.00 but she said she will work with that.
This place is more like what a vacation should be.
In this bay is also a Watercoler Restaurant, Ferndale Resort & Marina, Zino's Restaurant & Inn.
We really hate to be the barrier of BAD news seeing that this is are first Rally but we want it to be fun and for a week on a cement bad does not seem fun.
If you have questions please call me (360)620-5609 Rachelle and I will try and answer. Hope to see everyone here:razz

Other aeras.
Be very careful of the launch ramp. Somewhere back in time I seem to remember, maybe the resort your at, the launch ramp was shallow or.....just something not right, Trim it up to avoid under water objects or mounds. It was in Soda Bay aera though.

Also be aware that Lake County is a METH concentration aera. If it isn't locked and guarded it's gone.

I have not seen the Konocti Vista Casino Ressort so I really can't say one way or the other. Our problem is we need at least 12 rooms so the Edgewater just won't work. I have stayed at the Edgewater and I agree it's a nice place with a lot of shade. It's really not that far away by water from where most of us will be. I'm not sure how many people will be camping Most of us are in rooms over looking the dock I'm told but it's a shame we can't all be together since that's a big part of the fun we have at these Rally's. I plan to be there by 4 PM on Monday. I'll come down as soon as I can get things put away. Which one of you guys said you wanted to ski. I was thinking of bringing a Long Board. There used in ski racing. So if you hear me or see me driving by wave me in and please have a cold one I'll be thristy. I'll either be in a red and white 2003 or a Yellow and white Stoker. Don't let Gary Scare you. I used to partisapate as a driver pulling ski racers on Clear Lake and there are some bad people in places around the lake but I have never had anything stolen or any bad experiences and we raced out of all the bigger marinas around the lake. Or if your out on the water come by around 4:30.

The motor is set a little high right now for pulling skiers on short lines without washing them down but they can be setup to be a very good tow boat for skiing.

Rough water is great for long boarding You don't have to pull them to fast and your skiier gets a great workout.

That might be good when the pea soup is on. They are a very good ski boat.

Wednesday is Taco night I believe.

The BBQ I believe is in the lawn aera between the water/docks and motel.

Count us(2 Finch's) in on taco night.

Maybe I'll drive the motor home or someones large multi passenger car /truck since I can't partake in adult beverages down to taco night. Only one thing though, I'm an anti smoker.

I didn't realize the RV sites were that bad. I have stayed in their motel and that was good. I feel bad that you had to hunt for another place to stay.:sad We will be bringing two vehicles, both can carry 5 friendly adults. We will gladly shuttle people back and forth, to and fro, up and down, etc.

As at Berryessa, Delta, we'll make it work

Gene is right we can do whatever it takes. You might want to consider launching over with us at least on Thursday when were running the hole shot times and passes for a picture so that you can pull out and change props. I pull out every night and am always changing and trying different props during the day. It's up to you but the Rally is the time to do these things. I am also sorry the camp spot didn't suit you since being together is much better for all of us. In the past we have not had this problem but usually only 1 or 2 bring an RV. I have to recomend that if your camping you should consider staying with the group or you will miss out on most of the fun and information that can be gleaned from groups in the parking lot talking about Allison boats. All boats that want to go through the holeshot course this year must go through a safety inspection. John Richied and myself will be looking for safety problems like loose steering and loose bolts. In the past problems have been found while guys are gathered around boats looking them over. So sometime before Thurs you will need to get your boat inspected.
