I just noticed an add in National Dragster this morning that VP now has a 100 Octane unleaded fuel and was just wandering if anyone had tried it and how much it cost per gallon?

If you dont have the compression to burn and need higher octane you actually go backwords.I though Iwas borderline on our quads weather we needed to run race gas so I always did.Ran 92 one time after doing some searching and picked up quite a bit.And this is by no means a stock 450r it was built by Mike Valasco formerly Freddie Spencer Chief mechanic.

Aaronmt, I totally agree with your statement. I have had the same results in the past with car engines, but it can also be a situation of needing to lean the mixture with the higher octane fuel or increasing the timing because it burns slower.
