A little update on my dad. First of all, thanks for all the prayers and well wishes!!! His tumor is localized. Thank goodness the cancer has not spread! He will have at least 5 weeks of chemo and radiation before the tumor is removed. He has started his treatments and so far, so good. It will get tougher on him the closer we get to finishing with these treatments we have been told. He is good with it and says sooner we get going, the quicker we can get done! He will actually have a section of his esophagus removed when the time comes to make sure they get all of the tumor, 100%. This will require them to actually lift his stomach to re-attach the esophagus. This will kind of be like weight loss surgery in a way since his stomach will be in a much smaller area and will not let him eat very much anymore, so he will slim down like he was in his younger years. All things considered, he has a tough road ahead but it does look very promising for him to completely get past this and he is in pretty good spirits. We're hoping he's ready to go come springtime next year. Springtime bass fishing is his favorite time of year! Thanks again for everybodies thoughts and well-wishes!! It is very much appreciated!!
