Will a 36" shaft tolling motor work on a xb2002 r do I need longer

Boat 840# boat has a motor guide on it now with 36" shaft but it's junk. Boat is new to me I have not got it wet yet

David, I believe you would be better off with a 42 inch troller. I have an XB2003, and it has a 42 inch TM that is just about perfect, and I think that's the length you will need also.
