Transducer mounted on 2003 transom

Has anyone mounted where the speedo pitot tube was originally installed? My transducer is too large to mount in the tray and plus it's D.I.

Most mount them on the Jackplate. They are out of the water at speed buy work great for use at slow speeds.

I just put my DI on the jackplate. It is high and safe at speed and works great when fishing.
