So here’s a pic of where I mounted my transducer. I have a splitter and a puck in the they hull spot. After reading a little I’m doubting my placement. Anyone see a problem with being under the jack plate like this?

I would have mounted it to the jackplate as long as clearance was good just so i was not drilling more holes below water line,, but you should be fine,,

I mounted to the jackplate first. Looked like the SI would be partially blocked up the lower so I moved it down.

Looks like previous owners have mounted dozens of transducers below the waterline so the no holes below the waterline ship has sailed. They are all filled neatly with silicone but I will be doing more significant repairs on those.

What I like o do is to glue a chunk of starboard to the transom with silicone glue and drill into the starboard to mount transducers as needed.
