Started a new project today. Got the jack plate supported by wood blocks and the front hanging from the ceiling, ready to pull the trailer out for some freshening up. The pieces that hold the bunks are rusted badly so I'll grind them off and weld new ones on. While I'm at it I'm going to re-wrap the bunks with new carpet.
What carpet? Bass Pro sells some or maybe just some marine grade carpet.
suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hack, when I changed my trailer carpet from gray to black I used Cabelas "premium" marine carpet. I'm happy with it and it's a pretty good heavy weight carpet. On the vertical supports I glued an extra layer along the top edge to make for a more durable and cushioned surface for the hull to lay on. Then I stapled a layer over the entire board leaving the bottom open to help draining / drying. No other suggestions other than to use stainless staples and hardware.
