I have 4 intakes on the top and bottom of the bullet on my bob's and find I can't pick my motor up more than 3/4 of a inch from the pad when running my tempest fishing prop's. I have a 98 model xb03 with a 200 Mercury-2.5. How will it do in grass if I plug the top 4 holes?

It will do fine. Mine was like that also and I started sucking in air so I just filled the top four with JB weld and ran it like that for years.

I had the same sportsman addition Bobs cone my boat over heated and I called bob's He told me to close them off and I have had no ploblems since.the only thing that could cause a problem I was told it that it could trap some water and freeze in extreme cold but I remove mine and place it in the basement all winter to clean it up and replace water pump .

I found out why I was having trouble. I bumped a soft log while running thru lilly's and filled the bottom pickup's with wood. That's why I hate to plug the top holes.
