Small ear choppers
The small ear choppers were originally designed for the inline 6's of the seventies and eighties---- producing max horsepower of about 155 for the 1500XS.
And so, they literally have small ears relative to todays choppers and chopper two's that are designed for todays V6's.
You can use a small ear chopper on a V6 but they will be more prone to breaking because they don't have the blade thickness or metalurgical strength of the newer choppers. Also, they have less blade area so that you will not get the same performance out of them ---- maybe less bow lift for a given jackplate setting etc.
