SDBA "Proposed" Rulebook changes in 2007

Here are some Proposed 2007 Rulebook Changes and Additions for SDBA! These are NOT RULE CHANGES yet! But look for some form of these to be voted on the winter by SDBA (and hopefully NDBA will follow).........................

Ballistic Shorts:
As the current NDBA rule book states "Balistic shorts are required in All open boats running 9.99 and quicker." All boats racing in M/E should have been required to wear them (SDBA made us) as it's written now. because as you know in order to WIN with a 10.000 your boat will run a 9.99 on any given day.................. :shock:

That's one of the reasons to get the rules changed to the .70 mark,,,,, this will make these rules a little clearer!! :grin:

Helmet restraints on all Helmets (even PWC's) most likely will be the "Norm" too! :grin:



Nothing was said about "Bilge Pumps"......... Is that something your club wants? If so,, we should see about taking it to the NDBA board also... What is the reasoning behind it????? :? It hasn't been an issue with us yet........



Hopefully these rules will pass and me the "Norm" in all clubs! That way we will ALL be on the same page.......................

bilge Pumps

On the dragboatracing web site it was mentioned as a possible IHBA rule that they were going to talk to all the other associations about??? Thats where It came from. Hopefully all the changes will be out early so everyone can be ready and comply, everything seems to make sence to me.
