I'm getting a 798 unit installed soon. This is a response to the HDS imaging capabilities. Yee-haw for humminbird!! It appears the 798, 997, and 1197 are all upgradeable to this new feature.

Humminbird officially announced it's DOWN IMAGING technology today. This will allow you to see straight down, 2d sonar and traditional right/left SI all together. There are 3 different views in all. I have an announcement sheet that tells all the information and has pictures as well. I can't seem to get it to post but if someone can post it for me I would gladly email it to them.

Lots of exciting things happening in 2010 for Humminbird!
Software will be loaded in all new 2010 units and available for existing units in January as a free download. All units except the 797 will have the capability.
