Im planning on buying the smartcraft system moniter gauge from Livorsi. Its showing that you can buy a wireing harness with or without a resistor? Which one do I need? Also should the 15ft harness be the length I need? Thanks

what motor and what boat model and where are you locating the gauge and how are you routing the cable? honestly, the 15' might be a bit short...

i will have to check on the resistor deal... i forgot how it went

Resistor

It is my understanding, that you need to end up with a resistor at each end of the cable. It depends on what you want to do. SmartTach and Link guages. etc. The link below may help. You can get the cables with resistors at each end or use the termination blocks with added resistors.

If all your using is the system monitor you probably only need the cable with resistors at each end. I'd call Livorsi and ask. They have great customer service.

Probably didn't clear anything up, sorry.
