Q. about the XB21 new XB2002 rear hatch

Just curious.

The rigging "shield" that is in the center of the XB21 & XB2002' "new" rear hatch, is that the older XB2002 console (like I have) thats been cut and molded into the hatch?

No, it is a smaller version and same profile of the new bullet console up front.

See to me it looks like the 2nd designed bullet console (not the angular original one) that's been cut down a smidge and molded into the lid. The new bullet looks thicker at the tip of the front.

I misunderstood then, I thought you were asking if it was the angular one molded into the rear lid. I have never looked at mine close enough to notice if it is thinner at the front or not.

it's the exact same as the new console just a little shorter

That small rear deck fairing was designed to eliminate vacuum (improve aerodynamics) in the transom area.

Just confirmed it was a scratch design.
