Hey guys,
I need some help hooking up a pyrometer. The pyrometer gauge is a Gaffrig (3") and the thermocouple is a Livorsi. The problem is, I can't tell from the Livorsi instructions which wire is (+) and which one is (-). The two wire colors are red and yellow. I would normally assume that the red is (+) but it almost appears from the sketchy illustration that the yellow one is (+).
Thanks in advance,
Scott Mann

Try it both ways, it's not going to hurt anything. The probes and leads are just a type "K" thermocouple. Try it one way and if it don't work reverse them. The only 12v power you should have going to the gauge is for the light, that's it. No ignition wire should be hooked to the gauge.

I just hooked one up from Bob's, well actually I bought it as a cherry used piece from C Dave here on the board but it is a Bob's unit, and the yellow wire was positive. Hope this saves a trip under the dash. As Chad said, no power wire, which kinda surprised me.
