Gentleman -

Any recommendations for a good all around prop? Just purchased an Allison SS2000 Excel / 280 SS (consumer box - 7750 limiter). No organized racing. Usually will run solo or with one passenger - cruising and top speed runs.

Thanks,

MDS

Et's work great the Hoss's are good too. My SS seems to like the 14" Dia props the larger pitch props don't take a set as well as the smaller ones (on my hull). To get good numbers with a 7750 limiter you will have to run a 30 pitch. I would try to find some 1.75 gears and try them.

Hoss Triton. Although with a stock box you will probably need a 30. My 28 will turn about 8100 which is 105-106.

Had it for over 10 years. ET's are good too, but they seem more prevalent to break.

I think I'm getting a 29 SRX from Gilmore. I also thought I'd call Todd @ Hydromotive.

I have a 15 X 32 Merc Cleaver that I ran on my now sold Spectre 30. Think that 280 will be able to spin that?

Cleaver worked great on my old Grandsport.

What pitch Hoss Triton - 28 or 30 ?
