out board weights

Who runs the heaviest outboard on there Allison's.
Set back, how does it handle?

I know there are a few people who run Yam and OMCs. How heavy are those V6s? I'm thinking of repowering my 03 soon and I'm looking at OBs that are heavier than 2.5L mercs.

Any one know how much those 3.1 L Yam weight? How about some of those OMCs, any one have any luck with those 3L XS mercs on the 03s?

LISTED WEIGHTS (empty/dry...no prop etc.) Sometimes needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

2.5L Merc 2.5xs 450 lbs (B&WB tested it near 500 lb "user weight")
2.6L Yam Vmax HPDI 468 lbs
3.0L Merc EFI 480 lbs
3.0L Merc Opti (pro/xs) 505 lbs
3.1 L Yam Ox66 509 lbs
3.3L Rude ETEC HO 509 lbs
3.3L Rude Ficht HO 517 lbs
3.3L Yam 300 Vmax 530 lbs.

Everything I have read about the 2.5xs has been less than stellar.
