A fireman sent me this has anyone seen or heard of this incident ?

I checked with snopes.com. There are 2 different stories on how this happened, but evidently the picture is real. GROSS!!

OK, all you medics. . . . Top this one. . . .

This is an actual emergency room photo of a fisherman who lost control of
his High Speed Bass Boat in West Virginia
The warden's believe that he was traveling at a speed of approximately
75 mph at the time of the accident.
He was unable to negotiate a curve in the narrow waterway and
unfortunately for him, upon striking the shoreline, he was ejected from the
boat and landed on an old fence post.
You can probably picture what happened next, but this photograph really
says it all.
The good news is after about 6 months, this man made a full recovery after
suffering a shattered hip, broken leg, several broken ribs, internal injuries
and soft tissue damage. The doctors credited his recovery to the fact that
the post lodged itself so tightly that there was little or no blood loss.
Now, that's got to hurt!

The "story" of that involving a bassboat accident began circulating a few years ago. But I remember the same picture a couple of years before that and the story then was it was actually a construction accident involving the worker falling and landing on that post.

Who knows, but regardless that's GROSS and I can't see how anyone could surive such an impact and shock as soon as it happened. Much less long enough to make it to the hospital for emergency surgery! :cuss

ps
LOL I remember when it was posted on S&F lastyear and the biggest topic of conversation was the babe in the background!!!

Dang, I was about to remark about the cute nurse too...

That had to have hurt big time! I got chills just looking at it, I couldn't imagine if something like that ever happened to me....
