Fairly certain guys have been DQ'd for that in the past... (maybe it's only to the spectator side)

That speed is really close to what the Miss Budweiser/Dave Vilwock (230.??? mph)posted right before she was retired. She may have gone faster but broke the rudder bracket.

I was at house on the finish line on Saturday . My way came through at 209 mph, yes they were very close to the houses at the finish line. I was on the pier watching the boats come right at us. Very kool.
