I just got the new motor broke in and then after a pass,,,,,,

It started to sound like it's only running on 5 cylinders! :( or Kinda like a Mooooooooo Cow at low end then it seems to rap up! :?

Compression is PERFECT! I pulled the heads and NO sign of wear or anything :)

I changed the Plugs, Stator, Trigger, ECU, Switch box's, and gas cap!!!

Still seems to be there! :?

It's just not as "Crisp" as it was before this happend! It Sounds like a MooCow!!! :(

Got any ideas??? HELP!!

You forgot to pull that rag out of the mid before you set the powerhead back on. Just kidding, I know the sound your talking about, sounds like its starved for fuel for just a second.

Yeah maybe hack? :? It sounds like I blew a head gasget! :( But it's not!!!!

I found a small hole in the front half (below #4 injector, right by where the crank ring would sit) that somebody had tried to 2-part epoxy sometime in the past! And it's leaking a little oil!

I wonder if this could be it?

It happend right after I had added new fuel and them I made a pass or two!???????

Thanks!

Like a blown head gasket, that would be a different sound from starved for fuel. You wouldn't think just a little oil weep would let it make a noise. Reeds look good? Just guessing now. It'll be interesting to know what it is.

Take a sample...

Run some gas in a glass jar. Look for any separation. Water will settle to the bottom of the jar.
