I've got a '85 175 on a xtb21. Last year I put solid mounts,pulled the exhaust liner and added a Bridgeort tuner,also cut heads .040". The boat ran great at that point. THEN of course I had to go messing with it, it had wh30 carbs on it and stock reeds (it is a 5 petal vertical reed motor). I rebuilt a set of wh20 carbs and put them on jetted with.088" jets,also added a set of billet reed cages with fiber reeds has three big petals. Motor ran decent the first few times out and is still ok on top end but coming out of the hole it smothers and dosen't have much midrange punch. Was a strong running mota for what it was but now? Any comments or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks and God Bless
