Jackplate Setup

I've got stacked plates on my XB03/225PM rig. The CMC Power Lift is mounted to the transom and my Allison Plate is bolted to it. I'd like to install my skid planer. After looking at things, it looks like my only choice is to swap the plates around, as in bolt my Allison plate to the transom and bolting my CMC to that. Anyone got any opinions on doing this? Seems it'll transfer some extra weight back, but maybe that won't matter much. Stop me now if I'm doing something stupid.

That s the way mine is setup . Allison plate bolted to transom cmc bolted to Allison plate.

Cool, guess I got a project. Second question is while it's apart, I'm going to have it powdercoated to match the boat, any one ever disassemble a CMC plate and have it done? Any reason I shouldn't?

shouldnt be too bad had allison powder my backs on my cmc while i was having a pad job.

I have seen hinges bolted to a hyd plate. The drag plate goes up and down with the jack plate. Look on s&f. Use to be pics of it.
