In the past, I sold (and purchased) some of the world's expensive guitars.
There are "Real World" things to know about guitar transactions... ...boats having registrations, licences, etc. trailers being licensed vehicles in many states, have to be more complicated.
So for anyone who has bought a boat from Canada, what can you tell me? What might you do different? What would you definitely do the same? And that includes how to do the money transfer...
Customs?
Has anyone used a service to bring the boat N trailer?
What is your "real world" advice?
Even if you haven't bought a boat from Canada, but have something to add, please do.
Thank you.

You will need passport for everyone crossing and no firearm or weapons...knife, bat, etc. in vehicle both are very important. You are subject to search if they feel like it. There is no duty to be paid from canada to usa. You need seller to fill out EPA doc, Trailer doc and separate bills of sale for each item boat, trailer and motor. Plan on a couple of hours at the border crossing by doing it this way depending how busy crossing is. You can pay extra dollars and have customs broker do all the paperwork then just breeze through customs, much easier. Here is phone number for Port Huron office 810-985-7125. They can direct you to a broker if needed along with all the rules. Hope all this helps.
