Looking for any info on the I-75 closure around the Kentucky / Tennesse line.
Any tips for detours around the closure or updates on when it may be opened up?
I've heard that it may be closed for several weeks. This true?
What happened?

Just heard they expect it to be weeks. detours are slow. Allow at least another 1-1-1/2 hours. My bet is that they get 2 lanes open and the back ups will be epic.

Thanks for the info.
If you could post any updates you hear about it would be much appreciated.
I'll be driving through the area in about 12 days, hopefully they'll have a couple lanes open so atleast the trucks can stay on the interstate. From what I've heard the detour isn't exactly well suited for long loads.

25 w is about the only choice and with all traffic using it, nightmare is probably a conservative description of what you would get into.

They are still looking for a contractor. April 15 is target date so figure may at least. Major artery. Would hate to be driving that detour on a regular basis.

By the time I went south they had the south bound lanes open. Two weeks later they had a single north bound lane open.
By now they should be good to go.
