how does this switch work?

now that butch asked a question like that, I been wondering how the switch on my bow panel controls my lights? I have tried every imaginable combination and have given up? :?

Can't help you on this one. My bow panel has 2 switches, one is for trim and the other is for the live well. Butch Leslie

I have had water to bridge the contacts on the bow mounted trim switch, and the trim started to trim up all by itself while on the trailer. Lucky I was there when it happened. I disconnected the battery cable and replaced the switch. Since then I have installed a Perko switch which enables me to turn off the battery power whenever I am not around the boat. Allison should use some water proof switches to prevent this from happening. Butch Leslie

I agree with Butch on this one...mine did the same thing. I too installed the Perko switch.
