Help with batteries

I'm looking for some help with my batteries. I want to know if I can take the cranking battery out and connect it to my 24 volt trolling motor system by using one of the batteries for the cranking battery and still use the 24 volt trolling motor. Because I'm trying to cut down on weight.

Yep, I only run 2 batts and I think that's probably the best setup for all but the most hardcore tourney guys.

Like David says...IF you don't have the 16 amp system.........and you have never ran your present set up down then- go for it.

I am on the other end of the spectum.....I have a charging unit that can charge off the outboard mtr....... with 3- 29 series batteries. And can still run them down on a windy day during a tournament..
