I will start by saying I have never replaced the fuel filter. I am sure it is quick and easy, I just would like some info on it before I try. I assume the fuel filter and water separator are one, correct?

Anyone have a tutorial for replacing fuel filters for Dummies?

info: 1998 225 stock promax(EFI) w/oil injection on a 1994 XB2003

FYI: I drained all the old gas and replaced the engine mounted oil cap/float sensor. Going to replace the fuel filter water separator before I add the premix to test it all. (prior post I had the beepbeepbeep's)

After looking at the motor it does not have the simple twist on filter. I assume that the fuel filter is inside the VST. Given my inexperience, what's the best way to access the filter inside and replace it. I am not sure what is even inside it.

I am blind it does have the spin on filter. Replaced it, it was clean with no water or sediment in the glass jar test. I did NOT fill the new filter with gas before installing it should I have?
