I have been looking for an umbrella holder for months but couldnt find anything i liked. So i made something that should help get some relief from the blazing sun this summer.

Everything from Home Depot. About $30 into it for umbrella, pvc, coupling and spray paint. 1 1/4 pvc coupled to one of the seat posts that came with the boat. An extra length of pvc for standing under it. The 1" pvc goes inside for more strength and works as the stopper for umbrella height.

That thing would put me in the water on hookset. LOL.

I do have one i keep in the boat, but it's not that tall. Just shoved a beach umbrella inside an extra pedestal. Plenty tall for sitting/laying under, but you definitely couldn't stand and fish under it.

This is more for the sitting and eating lunch type of scenarios or when the wife and kids are hot and need a break from the sun. Whatever it takes to stay on the water longer.

image.jpeg This is the one I use for my dad and wife.
You can get several different mounts. This one has a bracket that attaches to the bottom on the seat.
It folds up and stores nicely.
