Guys on my Xb2003 with a 225Pm I had a torquemaster with a JCs cone...I never had a cavitation problem when coming out of the hole. She would leapt up on plane and I would be gone.

Unfortuneately the TM bit the dust and I put a new sportmaster on this winter. Now, it cavitates every time I come out of the hole. It's so bad I have to feather the throttle to try to keep the cavitiation to a minimum. I think I have tried most oif the trim and hydralic jackplate settings, but maybe not.

yeaterday I put the Alli foil on and next time I go to the water I'll see if that helps, but do any of you guys have any other suggestions???

Thank You

Bill

I would look at the lower unit good, because I have a bob's sportsman on a stock 200 lower unit and even with a stock chopper it jumps out hole with little cavitation.
