Carbs or EFI - I have to rebuild my “new to me” high performance 225 Super Magnum Mariner.

Currently it is EFI, but as long as I am rebuilding her, should I convert to carburetors?

Or something else?

background: (I have a well maintained but never rebuilt 1992 Mariner 200hp with carbs. It always starts & on average, runs with the best of them every week. Some people have told me that I need EFI for changes that impact how the motor runs. I start the 1992 200 hp Mariner with an 18 pound lawnmower battery… SO I have only had good experiences with carbs. But I have never previously owned a performance engine such as this 225 Super Magnum Mariner. )

Thoughts?
