I was trying to mount my transducer where the old medallion pito tube was and had two screws break off in predrilled holes. I've never seen this before. This should be fun. Wth? Any idea or tips on getting the old screws out?

I would just put a dab of sealant on them and call it a day. Can you cover them with the tranducer mount?

That's what I ended up doing. They are broke off flush. I guess I didn't drill the holes big enough. Ill have to wait until winter to get them out and have it repaired with gelcoat this winter.

Careful where you buy your hardware from. Most hardware stores are now supplying you with cheap imported SS. Very poor stuff. Stick with the 316 SS hardware. I buy from McMaster Carr. IMO fixing a small area like you're talking with the gell coat is way easier than fixing a like size chip on your car. I would probably use a real small dremel bit to grind around the broken screw till I could get on it with small vise grip.
