Guys -

Opinions on best ski prop for Grandsport? I have a 200 ProV Yamaha on the back with a stage 2 kit from Hydro-Tec. The boat came with a 25 pitch 4-blade Shooter. We skied with it the first time yesterday and I wasn't overly impressed. Hard to get two different guys out of the water. One was slalom and the other was on two skis. Both weigh ~ 190 pounds.

Thanks,

High Five 21 works great but lousy fuel mileage for crusing (being such a low pitch). I have heard that a 24 Trophy makes a great ski prop. You might want to PM badbait about this.

I have used a 24 trophy on a XB2003 the last 4 years with a whale tail. I pulls me up salom fine with 2 in the boat and full tank of gas. It will also run in the low 90's for me.

Mine isnt a GS but I believe its very close to the same boat from the rubrail down. I use a 25 Boger Trophy @1-3/4" below. Pulls like a freight train.

Not to hijack this thread, but I used to think the same thing and found out differently when I tried to swap trailers. It doesn't work!!

I tried to put my XB2003 on the dual-axle XS2003 trailer last year in preparation for the drive to TN.

The XB2003 has a steeper "swoop" in its keel and this made the boat not fit on the bunks properly. It would rock up and down and was not fitting flat on the outer bunks either. 1998 XB03, 1995 XS03. (Maybe the 1995 XB 03 hull was different?)

I ski with a 24 Drag Four. If you were closer you could try it. Awesome ski prop!!!

Mike--
I use a 23 Predator thru hub (actually over/under). This thing is a beast for low end. I got it from Randy beers and beers ago. It was the only 'production' prop (I think) in Lake Racer II last weekend in New Ulm. The normal yamaha drag prop went away so this filled in. Good enough to run 90+ in the quarter with my fat sled (xb2003 compared to SS's and Venoms)Anyways, it should pull up two. Missed you at NU. Come down to Fairmont in Aug. Many people there you would know.
