My son in law has been wanting an Allison since he saw and drove my first one almost 10 years ago. He's looked at a lot of nice ones but all too pricey. Three weeks ago the Tulsa paper ran an ad, "1990 2002/ 1997 225Pro-Max. $8400". It was in a nearby town and he was there the next day. $8000 even brought it home. This boat is really slick, two Hoss Tritons(28 & 32), Lowrance X-40 and two 1240A flashers, 12/24 TM, tandem trailer with disc brakes, and full set of gauges. Drives nice and the motor starts easy, idles smooth and pulls strong. Only bad thing I could find is the steering cables are stiff but he is making a luber. I told him he got the best deal of his life and needless to say he is on cloud nine. Best part for me, is we now have a good ski, knee board and tube puller and I can keep my 280. Life is good. GAR
