My brother sold a perfect 97 225 Promax and bought a 250xs and is sorry he ever did it. He put one of those grass filters on it and sometimes has to clean it 4 or 5 times on one fishing trip. He say's it's a POS!

What kinda lower unit is on it? If he got a sportmaster, the pickups should be the same as the pickups on a sportmaster from a promax.

It's on a dual consol Rocket with a torkmaster lower unit.

something is wrong if he is clogging it up all the time...

i have litterally ran MILES thru dense weeds and never have overheated or lost water pressure

please explain more of the issues he is running into...

nope, but we have acres of slop field up here that i have driven miles thru

All I know is he put a inline filter with a clear plastic top that catches the grass and if it stops up it will over heat your air compressor which is water cooled.
